Finally, we were able to compile our video clips on Phoebe's most anticipated milestone. It all began on January 20, 2009.
I think the video speaks for itself.
Enjoy!
Jo and I did not have a clue on how challenging it is to travel with a toddler. Well, to say it was challenging is an understatement. Phoebe was cooperative during the first 30 minutes then became restless for the next 13 hours, fell asleep for about 2 hours then became cranky again. Of course, she had to do you-know-what three times during the flight. Yes, it was quite a challenge - being crammed inside the small restroom with all three of us struggling to make it through the ordeal. Phoebe kept pushing the seat infront of her and I could not help but think that I was once one of those passengers that get easily annoyed by being pushed from the back - talking about bad karma. And yes, did I mention that Jojo and I did not sleep for 2 nights prior our flight because we had to skim through the entire house making sure we did not forget one single feeding supply or baby clothing? All in all, it was quite an experience. I would definitely not recommend flying for 20 hours with an active toddler if it is not a matter of life and death. But all in all, seeing the smiles of the lolos and lolas when they first saw their apo, made it all worth it.
Below are pictures taken during the first 30 minutes of our flight from JFK to Narita (Japan). What happened after that? - PURE CHAOS.
I think everyone who attended the wedding would agree with me on this: Ian and Robee make a perfect couple. I'd say that is way more important than any wedding detail.
I haven't seen Robee that happy for a very long time. My heart went out to my parents who had to "give away" another daughter. Well, on the other hand, they have their hands full with my two brothers anyway !
The wedding was beautiful. The award-winning choir, the designer gown, elegant flower arrangements, very touching song number, unique souvenirs, nicely edited onsite video and the photo booth as an added attraction...need I say more? It was such a perfect day.
Below are pictures taken with our digicam. Note: These are not the official wedding photographs!
The day before we left for Manila last December, I got to meet some of Jojo's relatives. The kids were amazing. They still speak Tagalog very well, are very polite and down-to- earth - just like how I would like Phoebe to be when she gets older. Although they haven't seen Jojo for a very long time, there was just no awkward moment. We all enjoyed their company.
